The Board of Directors of the Anne McKee Artists Fund of the Florida Keys, Inc. (AMAF) is proud to offer grant opportunities to individual visual, performing, and literary artists who reside in Monroe County. The AMAF was created to give project-based assistance to individual artists. Grants are awarded on the basis of financial need and/or to promote recognition of emerging talent. Other factors considered are a history of dedication and excellence in the applicant’s area of expertise and commitment and involvement in the cultural community of Key West and the Florida Keys.

Grants are awarded at the sole discretion of the Board of Directors of the AMAF after fair and careful consideration and in varying amounts up to $2000. Grant monies are intended to cover costs specific to the project for which they are proposed. Typically acceptable expenses include project materials, framing, publishing expenses, and advertising. Capital goods (e.g. Computers, smartphones, cameras), travel expenses, stipends to pay for storage units, rents, or salaries, and primarily commercial projects are specifically excluded. Fifty percent will be awarded upfront with the balance awarded at completion of the final project report.

Additionally, the AMAF has set aside two special grants to be awarded to young, aspiring artists; $300 to assist a child under age 14 with instruction and up to $1000 for a young person age 14 or older for instruction or a project.

ONLY the grant application form for the proposed year will be considered and must be submitted with a separate, typed narrative of explanation as detailed in the application form. Any materials submitted will not be returned.

Projects are to be completed within one year of receipt of grant monies. Upon completion, the recipient is required to report to the AMAF on the final disposition of their project and provide evidence that a body of work has been created. All project presentations in all formats must include acknowledgement of AMAF grant.

Information about our 2019 Grants will be coming soon. Check back at this location for applications and instructions.

Thank you for your interest in the AMAF. We wish you the best of success with your artistic endeavors.
